GIG Student Art Award

Congratulations to Jake Billinghurst for a spectacular win in the inaugural Galleries in the Gardens Student Art Award.

Jake's entry is an amazing, nearly 3m tall 'Thanks Dad' artwork completed with just three pencils!

And our congratulations to Natasha Veith and Annabella Whyman for their Highly Commended entries; and to Harrison Hughes for his work which attracted a Certificate of Merit.

You can see their works - and all the other entries by HSC visual arts students at Bulahdelah Central School - at a special exhibition at The Gallery.

The Galleries in the Gardens Student Art Award is one of our not-for-profit art group's community endeavours.

Extended to local HSC visual arts students in its first year, it fosters participation in art and encourages and rewards excellence.

The exhibition runs Wednesday 7 October (noon to 3pm) then Thursday thru Sunday 11 October, 10am to 3pm.

Do drop in to see these and more!
